- Water Topping: Regularly check the water level indicators (floats). Only use Distilled Water for topping up. Never use tap water or acid.
- Clean Terminals: Keep the battery terminals clean. Apply a thin layer of Petroleum Jelly (Vaseline) to prevent corrosion and rusting.
- Ventilation: Install the battery in a well-ventilated area to allow gases to escape during the charging process.
- Charge Regularly: Even if not in use, charge the battery at least once a month to prevent “sulphation,” which can damage the plates.
